Convincing EA to make a new EP for TS2
Louis was very polite and I want to help him. So here is what he says:
Hey there!
Being an avid Sims 2 fan, I was quite disappointed to see that The Sims 3 wasn’t really its next generation, but rather a spinoff. It’s not a matter of personal taste and whether or not I like the game – I just think, and I know that many agree with me, that TS3 is so different than TS2 that its name is merely a gimmick, and its presentation was rather falkse. Again, I don’t have anything against the game itself, but I think it was silly of EA to abandon TS2 completely.
So, I think that if EA made another EP for The Sims 2, that wouldn’t only make many TS2 fans very glad, but would also be a big business opportunity for them, because otherwise they might lose a rather hefty market.
Bottom line is – I made an internet petition. I know it’s a long shot, but who knows. Maybe EA will understand making a new Sims 2 EP would be good for them.
So if you agree (because it’s really not about liking or disliking The Sims 3), and would like EA to make another EP for TS2, could you please post a link to this petition on your site and ask your readers to sign it?

I don’t like the fact that they changed the game into a quest. I loved making families and connections between them, I even have my own little town, where some have shops and others are the employees there for example. In sims 3 I can’t do that, I can’t decide what happens beside my controlables sim’s life. I did play sims 3 for almost 2 months, I still have it installed on my computer, but I don’t feel like playing it, I got bored of it 
. And I love Sims 2

Very much game the sims2 is pleasant, I play about five years, agrees that game not should to stop on it, and should develop further, to leave new additions and so on

I agree with all! I think there’re too many fans of the sims 2 and EA Games should notice that fact that many of us are disappointed with the S3. I am. These plastic dolls… no, I don’t like! So.. Here’s my voice for the new addon!

It won’t be strange that I also give my voice for the new addon. Probably my laptop could not bear it, but it ’s another question.

When I bought The Sims 3, I ran to my computer, has proved … And at first I loved it but after a few weeks, the truth … Not believed to have arrived a week, I did not like, they were different. To me and think that everyone, especially I felt disappointed. I sold the image that they care, I cheated and I am therefore Louis. : D

I signed the petition, and agree totally that it’s a spin off. I was disappointed And now another one, I’m glad you have found a new passion, but how with your talent can you give this up, maybe a short vacation is what U need to rejuvenate. Talent like yours is a treasure, and even though sites pop up everywhere, they are not you. And not everyone can afford to upgrade their computers for Sims 3, custom content eats up space, graphics, memory etc., so Sims 2 should live on and maybe they will do more EP’s, if not at least new creations keep it fun. I hope you find your passion again I is a true loss for the Sims 2 Community. Good Luck!

I think it’s a sad testament to our society when people refuse to play a game because they think the pixelated characters are unattractive,that’s a little,well,creepy.I highly doubt that EA will release an EP for a game that isn’t being made anymore.Besides,most people simply will not give the Sims 3 a chance,in my opinion it completely outdid the Sims 2.Sims 2 Sims have the look of lifeless dead dolls in my opinion,they all seem to have the same look on their face.

I have been saying for some time that EA should have come out with a Sims 2.7. Among the features of Sims 3 that could be added to a new Sims 2 EP would be custom voices and personality traits. I, for one, installed, tried, and uninstalled Sims 3. I continue very happily with Sims 2.
